About this Website and Portsmouth Public Schools

The mission of Portsmouth Public Schools is to engage all students in learning that will foster academic excellence and responsible citizenship. This website is provided to help this mission. Within it are hundreds of video and print resources for PreK – 6th-grade students. They will be offered an opportunity to see themselves in the real stories shared. Downloadable lesson plans and discussion questions for the classroom or a remote environment are all focused on teaching the skills necessary to develop positive behaviors.

About Portsmouth Public Schools

Portsmouth Public Schools (PPS) is made up of 23 schools and centers (three high schools, three middle schools, 13 elementary schools, three preschool centers and an alternative education center). The division has roughly 13,000 students enrolled throughout the city, and PPS has approximately 2,100 staff members working each day.
